Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian musician and singer from Canada. [2][3] The range of her earlier music was described as "lo fi R&B" as well as "futuristic dance-pop". The artist has included elements of hip-hop electronic, and rock. The majority of her songs are based on science-fiction themes as well as feminist issues. Five albums have come out. Growing up in Vancouver (later relocated from there to Montreal), Grimes began releasing music independently at the end of the 2000s with two albums released, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa which were released in 2010, on Arbutus Records. Following her signing with 4AD her popularity grew with the charts with Visions which was her fourth studio album. Visions has two singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" which won she an award called the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. Art Angels, her fourth studio record, was released in the year 2015. Several publications called it the most successful album. 6. Her fifth album Miss Anthropocene, was launched in the year 2020. Grimes is the judge for Alter Ego, a music contest. She participated in the role-playing game of Cyberpunk 2077 2020 role-playing game.
