She is most famous for her role as Ashley Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. When she was just four, she began singing, and she got a taste of fame when she begged her mother take her to an audition for Sesame Street. In 1985, when she was 6-year-old, she began her acting career as a regular on the PBS children's educational program Sesame Street. She appeared in a variety of Broadway shows that were staged in New York City, including Fences (with James Earl Jones, later Billy Dee Williams) and Orfeo del Campo (off-Broadway). Seven years ago, she was the winner of Star Search. She received an overall score of 4 stars when she performed for the second time.
